Our essence is of God; therefore we are inherently good. This God essence was fully expressed in Jesus, the Christ.
We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in Mind.
Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Denials and affirmations are tools we use.

About Unity at the Lake
We live this Truth through our thoughts, actions and interactions with one another.
Unity at the Lake is part of the greater worldwide Unity Movement comprised of hundreds of ministries, study groups, and three professional organizations: Unity School of Christianity (the founding organization), the Independent Alliance of Ministers in Unity, and Unity Worldwide Ministries.
Like all Unity churches and study groups, Unity at the Lake is an independent, self sustaining ministry. It does not receive financial support from any other Unity organization, except on an occasional love offering basis.
Unity at the Lake is governed by its Board of Trustees and supported through the gifts and services of its members and friends. We offer spiritual support to our members and the community through our programs and services, which welcome all people. The operational responsibilities for Unity at the Lake lie with the Board of Trustees. All board members, except the ministers, are elected by the congregation from its membership in a democratic process. The ministers are standing members of the board. The president and other officers are elected by the board.
To serve on the board, an individual must be a member in good standing of Unity at the Lake Church, have a strong Unity background and be willing to commit the time to board responsibilities. The board functions as a team in carrying out the leadership, operational and fiduciary responsibilities of the church.
The By-Laws of Unity at the Lake Church are registered with the state of Missouri and certified as a non-profit. All board members sign a "Code of Ethics & Commitment Agreement" which states in part: "I hereby pledge to carry out in a trustworthy and diligent manner the duties and obligations of my role as a board member. I will exercise the duties and responsibilities of this office with prayer, integrity, collegiality and care, always working to learn to do my job better. I will hold sacred my own prayer life, spiritual practices and spiritual growth. I will demonstrate my commitment by setting an example
