UNITY AT THE LAKE       AUGUST 28, 2026

AUGUST 30, 2026: We’ve been waiting for this! Rev. Jerry Hooley will be back on the platform this Sunday to share with us from several spiritual programs he has embraced through the years.  His message “Made in the Image and Likeness” will discuss many specific ways our New Thought philosophy suggests we are like our creator, and how our actions can have a positive effect on our lives and in our world.

Rev. Jerry has the gift of presenting the metaphysical teachings of New Thought in a way we can understand them.  So come ready to more deeply understand how each of us  are not just like our creator, but are expressions of our creator, and truly are the place where God wants to show up in the world.

CHAIR YOGA WEDNESDAY:  Join us for chair yoga Wednesday, September 2, at 5:30 p.m.! The benefits are huge – enhanced joint mobility, better muscle tone, increased core strength, reduced chronic pain, and profound stress relief . . . and all this for a love offering of $7! Thanks to Cathy Babin, our chair yoga facilitator.

CHRISTMAS STOCKING DONATIONS:  Every year, the sewing team takes donations so they can fill Christmas stockings for the Laurie Care Center residents who don’t have families to celebrate with them. A giant thank you goes out to our sewing team, Linda Froling, Marty Fiser, Georgia Gocal, and Jani Faris, who spend many hours crafting the stockings, buying the goodies to fill them, and seeing that the stockings are distributed. You are an excellent representation of the love at Unity at the Lake! Any love offerings are appreciated – see Linda Froling.

UNITY WORLD DAY OF PRAYER: The 33rd Annual Unity World Day of Prayer takes place September 9–10, 2026, featuring the theme "Love Is Alive." IN BALANCE:  Be careful how you claim illnesses and diagnoses. These are visitors in your vehicle, imbalances that you may wish to use as opportunities to clear out that which caused the imbalance. The moment you give a name to this visitor and place it after the two very important words, “I AM”, you have allowed this visitor to settle in. You would be better served stating, “There is awareness of some symptoms. I welcome this opportunity to seek balance.” You are so very loved.
