UNITY AT THE LAKE        FEBRUARY 27, 2026

Putting God Back in the Center is the title of this week’s lesson by Rev. Liz Page. We will explore the spiritual paradox that we find our true selves when we move beyond self-preoccupation and live from a heart of service. When weshift our focus from “me” to God and to the well-being of others, we discover deeper purpose, peace, and connection. This talk reflects on the wisdom echoed even in a country song lyric — that forgetting about yourself can be the key to paradise — and invites us to experience the freedom that comes from centering our lives in the Divine.  We look forward to seeing you Sunday!

CHAIR YOGA SATURDAY:  Join us tomorrow February 28, at 10 a.m., for stretching and mindfulness with Cathy Babin. You’ll be glad you did!

MATCHING FUND: Way to go, Unity at the Lake! We collected the $5,000 necessary to have that amount matched by our anonymous donor. We’ll have a total of $10,000 to apply to the principle of our church mortgage. Thanks to all who donated and thanks to our anonymous donor!

NEW GRAVEL IN PARKING LOT:  Our board has had our parking lot spruced up with a load of additional gravel in the well-traveled areas. It looks great and we appreciate the upkeep of our building and grounds.

ANNUAL MEETING DATE: Our board has selected March 29 as the date of our 2026 Annual Meeting. We’ll gather back in the sanctuary after having a quick snack following our service. Please get this date on your calendar. New plans are coming together!

WELCOME:  When guests are coming to dinner you prepare for them. You may clean h the house and set the table and give thought to what you re going to serve before you make all the of the meal preparations. How often do you prepare your energy field before connecting with spirit? Cleaning your energy field and making any adjustments is akin to setting the table. Yes, of course, you can make impromptu connections, but when you create a welcoming environment in which to welcome spirit guests into awareness, the difference is felt.
