UNITY AT THE LAKE       OCTOBER 16, 2026

OCTOBER 18, 2026: This week we look forward to another meaningful lesson from Rev. Dr. Liz Page. See you Sunday at 11 a.m.!

HOSPITALITY UPDATE:  Our fellowship time after church this Sunday will be Soup Day. Join us after our service for a nice, hot bowl of soup on a chilly day. Beginning next month (November), the 4th Sunday of the month will become Potluck Sunday. We have historically had potlucks on the 5th Sunday of the month during the months that have 5 Sundays. However, our hospitality team is short-staffed and we are now

having potluck once each  month on the 4th Sunday. Starting in November, please bring an entrée, appetizer, side dish, or dessert to share with the group! Thank you for your understanding.

CHURCH WORK DAY: This Saturday, October 17, is our church Work Day. We will meet at 9 am to clean out our storage shed, reorganize it and remove all the things we no longer have a need for. The more help we can get, the quicker it can be done.

YARD SALE:  Our church “yard sale” is planned for Saturday, November 14. Gather your items that you no longer want or need and save them for the Yard Sale. More information will be given as we get closer to that date. We’ll also need volunteers to help set up tables, organize items for sale, and collect money on the date of the event. Let Dale Froling know if you can help!

BOARD MEETING: Our next Board Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 24, at 10:30am. The board meeting is open to anyone that would like to sit in. If you would like to present something to the board, please, let Dale Froling know so it can be added to the agenda. 573-480-5802

MORTGAGE PRINCIPLE: We have received generous donations to help pay down our mortgage balance. We will bring you the updated principle balance after our board meeting. Thank you for your donations!

EVENT IDEAS:  If you have an idea for an event to take place at Unity at the Lake either for our congregation or something open to the public, please reach out to Lauri Laughland via Lauri@laughlandlaw.com. Lauri will discuss your idea with the board and see if she can help it come to fruition.

SPINNING:  Are you in a rut, spinning your wheels, feeling as if you are not getting anywhere despite your best efforts? What is your destination and why are you trying so hard? Can you relax and ask Spirit to show you why you may be restless, frustrated, feeling incomplete? Perhaps, in the process of pausing and asking, much will be revealed, most especially as answers you may not have expected arise in awareness. You need not have all the answers at once. Slowing down and shifting gears may be all that is needed to find your way out of the rut and head in a new direction with greater ease.

You are so very loved.
